A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied on the skin to remove the top layers. The result is – the skin that grows back is smoother. Most common chemicals used are glycolic peels, salicylic peels, Mandelic acid, lactic acid , retinol, etc.

There are 3 level types of these chemical peels. Light, Medium & deep. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results. Deeper chemical peels offer more-dramatic effects but it also takes more time to recover from.
